Sooji Ka Halwa

Semolina Halwa

Ingredients

Melt butter and add semolina. Roast until a deep golden color.

STEP 1

In a pot, simmer water, sugar and cardamom until sugar is dissolved.

STEP 2

Add rose water and saffron.  Carefully add to browned semolina.

STEP 3

Stir until mixture thickens and butter separates. Garnish with almonds.

STEP 4

Enjoy hot, warm or at room temperature.
