What is Sarson Ka Saag?

 Saag is used to describe puréed greens. Mustard greens (called Sarson) are the most common in Pakistan and India.

Ingredients

Green Chilis & Garlic

Spinach

Dried Fenugreek Leaves

Salt

Mustard Greens

Cornflour

Turmeric

Add water, mustard greens, spinach, green chili pepper, garlic, turmeric & salt to Instant Pot.

STEP 1

Pressure cook. Use an immersion blender to blend into a rough paste. Sauté

STEP 2

Mix in the cornflour, dried fenugreek leaves & water.

STEP 3

Gather the Tadka (tempering) ingredients.

STEP 4

Cilantro

Ginger

Ghee

Oil

Onion

To prepare the tadka, sauté onions in oil & ghee until golden. Add ginger and sauté 1 more minute.

STEP 5

Pour tadka onto saag and stir.

STEP 6

Garnish with cilantro and serve with naan!
