20 Minute Prep!
Wash and soak rice.
Sauté onions in oil and ghee until golden brown. Deglaze with water.
Add garlic and ginger. Followed by green chili and whole spices. Sauté.
Add drained chickpeas and salt. Stir. Add water and bring to a boil.
Add drained rice. Stir and bring to a boil. Partially cover and gently simmer.
Cover with tea towel lined lid and steam.
Fluff rice and garnish with cilantro.
Enjoy Chana Pulao with raita!
