Parboil rice and then strain.
Heat ghee. Add cardamom, sugar, water, food coloring & salt. Stir to dissolve sugar.
Add milk & simmer 1-2 minutes.
Add parboiled rice. Mix gently & simmer for 2 minutes.
Sprinkle in orange blossom/kewra water. Steam.
Garnish with almonds and serve warm with malai (cream)!
