Ingredients

Boil dal with water. Simmer. Remove any white scum.

STEP 1

To a hot pan, add oil, cumin seeds & onion. Sauté until lightly golden.

STEP 2

Add ginger, garlic, tomatoes, green chili, ground spices & salt. Sauté.

STEP 3

Add cooked dal & water. Simmer.

STEP 4

Add ghee, dried fenugreek leaves, lemon, garam masala & cilantro.

STEP 5

Serve Masoor Dal over rice & enjoy!
